Project Overview
Anglia Decor carried out the safe removal of 8,000m² of asbestos cement roofing and the installation of a new Kingspan composite roof system at Aveclair. The existing asbestos roof had deteriorated beyond economic repair, and a full strip-and-replace programme was required to bring the building up to current standards for weather resistance, thermal performance, and regulatory compliance.
Asbestos Removal
The asbestos removal phase was carried out under a fully licensed process in compliance with HSE regulations. Controlled removal methods, continuous air monitoring, and certified waste disposal through approved facilities ensured the safety of all operatives and building occupants throughout the works. Edge protection and underside safety netting were installed prior to any roof works commencing.

Kingspan Composite Installation
The existing asbestos roof was replaced with Kingspan composite panels, delivering a modern, high-performance roofing solution. The new system provides significantly improved thermal insulation, enhanced weather resistance, and a clean, durable finish designed for long-term performance with minimal maintenance.
Result
The Aveclair roof replacement was completed on programme with zero safety incidents. The building now has a fully compliant, high-performance roofing system with improved thermal efficiency and long-term durability.
