Demolition and Resin Flooring at a London Warehouse Unit

Anglia Decor completed a combined demolition and resin flooring project at a large warehouse flooring unit in London. The scope covered 270m² of floor space requiring structural demolition followed by a full resin floor system in Pumatect light grey.

The project began with the demolition of internal stud walls and concrete pillars to open up the warehouse layout. Removing these structural elements created a clear, unobstructed floor plate ready for surface preparation and coating. This type of combined demolition and flooring work is common in warehouse refurbishments where existing internal divisions no longer serve the building's intended use.

Surface Preparation and Resin Coating

Once the demolition phase was complete, the team prepared all 270m² of concrete flooring using vacuum-assisted diamond grinding. Diamond grinding removes surface contaminants, laitance and minor imperfections to produce a clean, profiled substrate that accepts resin coatings effectively.

The prepared floor received a full recoat in Pumatect light grey, a durable resin system designed for industrial and commercial environments. Pumatect provides excellent abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and a clean, uniform finish that transforms tired concrete floors into professional working surfaces.

The difference between the bare concrete substrate and the finished Pumatect light grey coating is significant. The resin floor delivers a seamless, dust-free surface that is easy to clean and maintain, essential qualities for any working warehouse environment.

The completed floor spans the full 270m² footprint in a consistent light grey finish, providing a bright, professional appearance throughout the warehouse unit.
