The Project
Anglia Decor was appointed to carry out a programme of commercial painting and decoration at High Chelmer Shopping Centre in Chelmsford, Essex. High Chelmer is one of the city's busiest retail destinations, and the project required careful planning to deliver a high standard of finish while the centre remained fully operational throughout.
Working in a Live Retail Environment
Painting in a busy shopping centre demands a different approach to standard industrial projects. All work was phased around trading hours, with preparation and spraying carried out during out-of-hours periods to minimise disruption to retailers and shoppers. Dust sheets, masking, and screening were used throughout to protect shopfronts and public areas.
Scope of Works
The project covered exterior steelwork, entrance canopies, cladding panels, and architectural metalwork. All surfaces were thoroughly prepared, cleaning, degreasing, and sanding back to a sound substrate, before high-performance coatings were applied by airless spray for an even, professional finish across the full scope.
