The Project
Anglia Decor completed the first phase of a 2,500m² resin flooring installation at Currock Engineering in Chelmsford, Essex. The project included full diamond grinding and vacuum preparation of the existing concrete, followed by 2 coats of grey resin across the main floor area, dark blue pedestrian walkways, and high-visibility yellow edge markings. The result is a clean, durable industrial floor with clearly defined traffic zones for both vehicles and foot traffic.
Currock Engineering required a flooring system that could handle the demands of an active industrial workspace. The existing concrete surface needed stripping back and levelling before any coating could go down. Anglia Decor carried out a full diamond grind across the 2,500m² area, removing surface contamination and creating a proper mechanical key for the resin to bond to. All dust and debris were vacuumed up to ensure a clean substrate.
Coating System and Walkways
The main floor area received 2 coats of grey resin, providing a hard-wearing, chemical-resistant surface suited to heavy industrial use. Designated pedestrian walkways were coated in dark blue to create a clear visual separation between foot traffic and vehicle routes. High-visibility yellow edge markings were applied along key boundaries, ensuring safe movement throughout the facility.
This colour-coded approach is standard practice in busy industrial environments. It reduces the risk of collisions between pedestrians and forklifts, meets health and safety guidance, and gives the workspace a professional, well-organised appearance.
The Team
This project was delivered by Alan, Will, Rick, and Courtney. The team managed the full process from surface preparation through to final markings, working around the facility’s operational schedule to minimise disruption.
