The Project

Anglia Decor executed a full exterior refurbishment of the Storage King facility in Exeter as part of a corporate rebrand initiative, delivering preparation and respray works to the entire building envelope. The scope involved respraying cladding panels, curtain walling, structural elements, and external surfaces to apply the company's updated brand colors across the facility, bringing the site into line with Storage King's new brand identity across its UK portfolio.

Anglia Decor was appointed to execute the full scope of exterior respray works, transforming the building's appearance to reflect the updated brand standards and corporate positioning.

Cladding Spraying Preparation Works

Every surface received thorough preparation before any coatings were applied. The cladding panels were cleaned, degreased, and abraded to ensure optimal adhesion for the new coating system. Curtain walling frames and structural surfaces underwent the same meticulous preparation process, with particular attention to areas where existing coatings had deteriorated or where weathering was evident. Masking was applied to protect glazing, signage, and all surrounding surfaces from overspray.

Cladding Respray and Finishing

The cladding respray programme used high-performance coatings specified to match the new Storage King corporate brand colors and selected for their durability and color retention in exposed commercial environments. Anglia Decor's IPAF-certified operatives used mobile elevated work platforms to reach all areas of the building safely and efficiently, working across multiple elevations simultaneously to maintain programme and complete the rebrand on schedule.

Working on an Operational Facility

Commercial facility rebrands require a contractor that understands the demands of working on occupied, operational premises where disruption must be minimised. The Storage King Exeter project involved careful planning and phased access across multiple elevations of the building, with works coordinated to align with facility operations and customer traffic patterns.
