Gee Plus Ltd.
This industrial floor had 1mm of carpet adhesive. A builder had recently used a STR machine to prepare and applied a solvent based floor paint which had not cured and reacted to the carpet adhesive. Just weeks after completion the floor was starting to flake and break down. Our client wanted an industrial floor coating that would stand up to light industrial usage.
We used a 3 phase ride on floor grinder fitted with PCD shoes to remove the carpet adhesive. This was followed by diamond grinding to remove any scratches the PCD’s had left in the concrete. Our team then filled any minor imperfections, bolt holes and scratches to the floor. We applied 2 coats of a high build resin coating in Goosewing grey.
As with all our industrial flooring projects we gave a 12 month no quibble warranty on this industrial floor coating.
The finished floor has a 400 micron dry film thickness. Solvent free resin coatings are very durable, the floor has a 5-6 year lifespan for light industrial usage.
