What happens in design and planning?
This is where the brief becomes a buildable scheme. Layout, structure, drainage, and specification are agreed, and where needed, planning permission is secured. How do groundworks and the frame come together?
Groundworks level the site, install drainage, and form the foundations and concrete slab. Once the foundations have cured, the steel frame is erected, often in a week or two for a single unit. What about the roof, cladding, and fit-out?
With the frame up, the roof and wall cladding make the building weathertight.
