Requirement:
Exterior decoration this period property including  sash windows, render, hardwood windows and lime washed courtyard.

Solution:

Our decorators carried out preparation of woodwork to uncover areas of rot and from there we compiled a list of prior to paint repairs. Most repairs were carried out using the Repaircare system. Where areas of rot were beyond repair, the defective substrate was replaced with new wood. All defective putties were removed and replaced.
We carried out the project using the Dulux Weathershield system, giving an 8 year lifespan. Access was via cherry picker to front and side elevations.
Lime wash of courtyard and gable end required scaffold to provide access. Once prepared we applied a base coat to all areas then 2 coats
of lime. It is important to keep a wet edge while applying the lime wash.

Results:
The lifespan of this job will be around 5-8years, south elevations will break down quicker than the rest. This project was featured on the cover of the P.D.A. magazine ‘The Decorator’.
All work comes with a 12 month guarantee.
